![]() WOW what a deal huh?įYI, with input from the Lexus Club Forum people, I got the spare for the RX8 off of Ebay ($249 plus shipping $49 or so) and it fits, I made sure it would fit the front and back and then mounted it in the spare slot using tie downs. M Space saver option 125/70R17 2.5 + Overall diameter for the 125/70R17 23.9 INCHES Width of the tyre 4.9 INCHES OEM Tyre Size Difference +/- 185/65R15 K.O. Im going to call around tomorrow and see if I can source one for a reasonable cost. Someone on a Camaro board appears to have found a Uniroyal space saver tire in that size for 40 (). So that would be $432 for labor for a grand total of $1523. These are available new for about 300, but you can find them used for a lot less. They said they needed 4 hours to do the job getting $108/hr. ![]() I inquired at my stealership about the spare and mounting it in the trunk I was quoted $1091 just for parts and that was without labor. I checked and there is only one in the US and one in Germany. It is the original tire and I am concerned that it needs to be replaced because of its age. The difference in diameter between the two tires is only 6/10ths of an inch. There is a 17' e60 space saver for sale on CL fairly close to me and I would like to know if it will bolt on with no issues. ![]() Is anyone familiar with this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a 1991 C2 that has a space saver inflatable spare tire. Now it has conventional tires and I would like to have a spare. ![]() I thought someone had written once about a space saver tire made for another auto, but the rim size and lug size would fit the sc430 and the tire would fit into the existing well in the trunk without any retrofit. I am wanting to get rid of my runflat tires but am struggling with the idea of spending almost $1000 to retrofit the trunk to accept a spare. ![]()
